Optimal finish and wear resistance - STM applies 20-30% more paint to wood components than the industry’s minimum requirement, which is 80 microns.
We give you a wide selection to choose from. Our products come in many water-based standard colours, but if you do not find the colour you want amongst these, you can choose special colours for a small surcharge. STM also offers sable surfaces for a small charge. Our window and door components are painted at our automated painting plant, under constant supervision. First the components get a basecoat of paint.
Next the components are sanded and filled before they get the top coating. We also take great care with our paint treatment, as optimal paint treatment ensures a warm and durable surface and long life for the components. Typically our components get 20-30% more paint than the window industry’s requirements for a paint layer of 80 microns.
